  12.        The directory /_u_s_r/_s_h_a_r_e/_d_a_t_a/_s_o_u_n_d_s/_p_r_o_s_o_n_u_s contains a
  13.        collection of music and sound files created by Prosonus
  14.        especially for your Silicon Graphics computer system. See
  15.        the man page _p_r_o_s_o_n_u_s(_5) for more information about these
  16.        sound files.

  19.        The subsystem _d_m_e_d_i_a__t_o_o_l_s._d_a_t_a._m_o_v_i_e_s, which is marked for
  20.        default installation, includes two sample movie files. The
  21.        movies are installed in the directory
  22.        /_u_s_r/_s_h_a_r_e/_d_a_t_a/_m_o_v_i_e_s.

  24.           +o _s_o_m_e_r_s_a_u_l_t._m_o_v_i_e is a movie file in the SGI Movie
  25.             format. The image data in the movie was compressed
  26.             using the SGI MVC1 compression scheme.

  28.           +o _s_a_m_p_l_e_Q_T._m_o_v is a sample QuickTime movie. The image
  29.             data in the movie was compressed using the QuickTime
  30.             Animation compression scheme.

  33.        The subsystem _d_m_e_d_i_a__t_o_o_l_s._d_a_t_a._m_o_r_e_m_o_v_i_e_s, not installed by
  34.        default, includes the sample MPEG-1 systems bitstream file
  35.        _s_t_u_d_i_o._m_p_s. This is an MPEG-1 movie which includes both an
  36.        audio track and a video track.  The size of the file is
  37.        about 10 MB, and the playing time is about 59 seconds.

  39.        Movie Player can be used to view the movie. The audio and
  40.        video tracks are decompressed using the standard MPEG-1
  41.        audio and video decoder engines which are included in IRIS
  42.        Digital Media Execution Environment 5.5.

  44.        The movie was created by compressing sequence of rendered
  45.        frames (SGI image files) and a soundtrack (AIFF file) using
  46.        the new Media Convert. The original animation sequence was
  47.        created using a variety of applications running on Silicon
  48.        Graphics computer systems.

  50.        If you wish to create similar MPEG movies, you can obtain a
  51.        Silicon Graphics MPEG Encoder License which unlocks the
  52.        software MPEG-1 audio/video compressors included with IRIS
  53.        Digital Media Execution Environment 5.5.
